Course overview

Work it out in the room.

One live session on a shared board

A first draft of your own map

Your cohort’s board, open to you for a year

Masking is the Loop where you hide how things are really going to get through the day. It works, and it costs you. In this Live-Lab you map yours: what starts it, what keeps it going and which Terrain it shows up in.

No slide decks or lectures. Everyone works on one shared board with a real example from their own week. Live-Labs are never recorded, so the room stays a place where it’s fine to try things out loud.

You’re here when

It’s written down, and you can predict where it will show up next.

Audience

Who this course is for

This is for you if

You already spot Masking and want to map it.

You think better out loud, or on a whiteboard, than on your own.

You’d like to see how it plays out in other people’s weeks too.

You want a real example from your week to be the lesson.

Good to know

Bring a small, real example. Small is plenty.

You choose what to share.

Live-Labs are never recorded.

You don’t need to have done a Micro-Lab first, though Spot helps.

Course modules

Spot, Map, Navigate.

1

Spot

Name what happened. Each person adds one real moment from their week to the board, in their own words.

One example on the board.

2

Map

Together we work through what starts Masking, what keeps it going and which Terrain it shows up in.

A first draft of your map.

3

Navigate

Pick one move from the map to try before the next time Masking shows up. You leave with your board.

One next step to try.

Materials

A blank page. That’s it.

Almost always, all you need is a blank document on your computer, or a pen and paper. If a module needs anything else, it says so at the start.
